Ryan Julius Benke, age 21, of Little Rock, Arkansas, passed away on May 29, 2026. Born on July 21, 2004, in Orlando, Florida, Ryan brought light, laughter, and love to all who knew him.
Ryan will be remembered as a kind, empathetic, and deeply thoughtful young man whose loving heart touched countless lives. He had a rare and genuine way of connecting with people, always taking the time to listen, to care, and to make others feel truly seen and valued. Whether through a simple conversation, a well-timed joke, or just his steady presence, Ryan had a gift for lifting spirits and bringing comfort to those around him. His warmth and humor created lasting impressions, and his ability to brighten even the heaviest of days was something those who knew him will never forget. Beneath his easygoing nature was a quiet strength and determination. Those closest to him knew that when Ryan set his mind to something, he pursued it with unwavering focus and resilience, never allowing obstacles to stand in his way. His determination was as remarkable as his compassion, a balance that defined the way he lived and loved.
He had a deep love for sports, especially college football, basketball, and MMA, and was a passionate supporter of the Georgia Bulldogs. Whether watching a game or talking sports with friends and family, Ryan found joy in the excitement and connection it brought.
Ryan is lovingly survived by his mother, Pamela Lopez; his father, Eric Benke; his stepmother, Robin Benke; his grandmothers, Barbara Benke and Margarita Lopez; his grandfather, Fabio Lopez; his Tito & Tita Victor and Vicky Munoz; his Aunt Alexandra and his high school sweetheart and wife, Ryleah Nettles. He leaves behind a very large and loving extended family. Although they were cousins, he considered Raquel Martinez and Paulina Munoz as his sisters.
A memorial service to celebrate Ryan’s life will be announced at a later time.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Ryan’s memory to a charity that reflects his passions and caring nature.
Ryan’s life, though far too short, was filled with love, laughter, compassion, and meaning. He had a way of caring deeply for others, offering kindness and understanding without hesitation, and leaving a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him. His presence brought light into the lives of family and friends, and his memory will continue to do so in the hearts he touched. Ryan will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever carried in the lives of those who loved him.
