Her sudden and heartbreaking death has left her family, friends, colleagues, and the wider community in shock and mourning.
Anisha, aged 28, was an international student from India who was studying in the United Kingdom while working part-time at Jimmy Spice’s restaurant on Broad Street. She was struck by a black Audi RSQ8 on Dartmouth Middleway in the early hours of Saturday, May 30. Despite the swift response of emergency services, Anisha sadly succumbed to her injuries at the scene. A 22-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and driving under the influence of drugs and was later released on bail as investigations continue.
Anisha is remembered as a kind, gentle, and respectful young woman whose quiet personality left a lasting impression on everyone she met. Friends and colleagues describe her as “lovely,” warm, and approachable, always willing to listen and share kindness with others. She carried herself with humility and grace, making her deeply admired by those around her.
